Reports to – Head of Human Capital

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure that the HR and Administration department provides the needed and appropriate support to the key functions of the company to enhance growth and sustainability by performing the various departmental tasks assigned to the role.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process to ensure the TAT is attained.
Take charge of Staff Welfare.
Compile Performance Evaluation records.
Partner with other departments/unit, increasingly in a consultancy role, with the support of Head of Human Capital.
Ensure proper maintenance of Human resources management records.
Administer employee benefit programs.
Leave administration.
Ensure compliance and adherence to company policies, procedures, systems and statutory requirements.
Maintain Work Health & Safety policies and procedures in accordance with the policies.
Monitoring and facilitating applicable employment labor laws to ensure legal compliance.
Timely and accurate updating of the HR and Admin reports.
Create and maintain up to date staff files both soft and hard copy.
Support the Human Resource department in other departmental duties.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.
Higher Diploma in HRM from a recognized institution.
A valid member of IHRM.

Work Experience
At least 3 years of work experience in a busy Human Resource office.
Experience in Workforce/HR Analytics is an added advantage.

Desired Knowledge and Skills
General Knowledge with the Kenya employment legislation.
Grievance handling and ability to deal with difficult situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
